R21 Turbo exhaust manifold cast iron

Mespiecesauto first reproduced this exhaust manifold in 2008. We created a foundry tooling in order to obtain a product compliant with the original design. These manifolds are made from a cast iron grade superior to the original, which is prone to cracking — one of the known weaknesses of the R21 Turbo.

After 10 years, Mespiecesauto is restarting production of this now extremely hard-to-find part. It should be noted that a cast iron manifold expands less than a stainless steel manifold at the same temperature, and also dissipates heat more effectively. In addition, this manifold is a proper cast foundry part, not an assembly of welded “stainless steel” tubes of highly variable quality, sometimes with poor sealing. The wall thickness is also significantly greater.

The original runner lengths are respected, in accordance with the acoustic characteristics intended by the manufacturer. Exhaust design also has an effect on engine filling.

It is identical to the original reference 7700735162.
