Reinforced Head Gasket R5 Alpine Turbo – Renault 5 Alpine

Standard head gaskets use crimped fire rings. The thickness of this crimping is approximately 0.1 mm, as it is made from a folded sheet.

Separate fire rings are cylinder rings machined from solid material and added to the gasket. The thickness of one ring across its diameter is approximately 2 mm, making it around 20 times thicker.

Separate fire rings expand and seal perfectly, providing unrivalled pressure resistance — a ring thickness that cannot be achieved with a connected fire ring design.
