When removing or replacing the flywheel, remember to replace the fixing bolts. They are not torque-to-yield bolts, but excessive torque can still stretch them. If you prefer to reuse them, measure each bolt's under-head length: any stretched bolt must be discarded.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell the Renault 5 Turbo clutch?
Not yet. However, we hold the original archives relating to its production, and we are currently working on the reverse engineering of this very specific clutch: the twin-plate MZ 190. Contact us to be informed of its availability.
What is the tightening torque for the R5 Turbo flywheel bolts?
The flywheel bolt tightening torque is 5 daN·m ± 0.5 (i.e. 50 N·m ± 5). Before refitting, refer to the advice above: preferably new bolts, or check the under-head length if you reuse them.
